The votes have been tallied. The results are in. My fingers can barely type, I’m so excited.

How good of a deal is $69? A smoking deal! It’s more than half off our regular price.
What can you do on Orcas beyond soaking up the more than 240 days of sunshine?
When I’m on vacation, I’m always a fan of eating and this small gem delivers. It has a fantastic collection of restaurants dishing up locally sourced, flavor packed fare. Take The Kitchen for example. Their fast Asian food is served through a small walk-up window. But that doesn’t keep Chef Charles and his posse from crafting made-from-scratch meals. They frequently have lines stretching off their quaint backyard porch and onto the grassy lawn.
Just down the street from The Kitchen’s backyard entrance, you’ll find a different kind of cocina – Mijitas. This south of the border Mexican kitchen recently opened. Their large outdoor seating section is a favorite, especially on one of those numerous sunny days.
Want just a quick bite or a well-made latte? Try Enzo’s Gallery Caffe where the pastries are homemade, the coffee made-to-order and the WiFi is free.
The shopping here is not endless, but it’s definitely worth a stroll around town. Quaint galleries are often home to artist studios. Their artwork seems to literally pour into the streets with small pieces of repurposed goods transformed into charming displays. Unique gift shops offer a collection of beautiful but functional items, perfect for remembering your trip.
While Orcas Island is one of the hillier islands in the San Juans, it still makes for an amazing place to go bike riding. Wildlife Cycles offers bike rentals. Plus, they have a great collection of suggested bike routes.
Remember – to score this fantastic deal all trips must be booked between Wednesday, August 7 and Saturday, August 10.
